ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a watercolor artist specializing in the many diverse faces of nature. My inspiring images bring to life the varied pristine places and the glory of their flora and fauna.
Born in Panama City, Florida, I moved to Ohio when I was very young. My love for vast open landscapes became the inspiration for many of my paintings. After high school, I attended Ferris State University where I studied commercial art. Knowing the abundant Florida landscape would provide me with great inspiration, I was happy to return to my home state in the 1980s.
I have created plein air paintings in many different areas across the country, and I enjoy the opportunity to create paintings of the Florida landscape on a frequent basis. I feel it is important to paint scenes of nature so that I can share that moment in time with others. My paintings hang in residences in many states and other countries. My studio resides at Gallery on First in Sanford, Florida. I also have paintings at The Artistic Hand in Oviedo, Florida, and Stone's Throw Bistro in Sanford, Florida.
Traveling to areas such as the Carolinas, Tennessee, Utah, the Midwest and the New England states, I find more natural beauty to capture in watercolor.
I previously served as The President of the Central Florida Watercolor Society. I am a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, Plein Air Florida and the Central Florida Plein Air Artists.
