Naskeag Harbor

I stayed in an old house looking out into Naskeag Harbor in Maine. Not far away was the boat launch area where boats were moored. I visited this place quite a few times because it was so near to me and there were boats anxiously awaiting for me to paint them. This painting was done over two mornings. The first morning I painted the beach, the sky and the reflection of the sky in the water. This was all done very wet and the damp atmosphere made drying take quite a while. I came back the next day and painted the boats, trees and rocks.
